And this impression is not confined to those unlettered in economics. Evidently the Finance Minister too is converted to the Working Group's view on the black economy, since unlike last year his Budget speech this year is conspicuous for the absence of any reference whatsoever to the manace of black economy. Or is it that quite independently of the Working Group, he has come to the conclusion that the Rs 1,000 crore collected through his predecessor's bearer bonds have soaked up the black economy for good?
