THE Prime Minister is reported to have conveyed to the visiting French Defence Minister her concern over the arms race and the stockpiling of weapons of mass destruction. There is more than a touch of irony, even hypocrisy, to this particular episode since the French minister is in India, with a 12-member delegation, primarily on a mission to sell arms and weapons of mass destruction.
