February 14, 1981 LATE last month inspired reports had it that government was planning to raise the cement price again, after last August's increase. This time, the reports claimed, the increase in retention price would be Rs 17.50 per tonne, which would bring the retail price to Rs 551.25 per tonne. Though no announcement has followed, the reports may be taken to mean the conclusion of the latest round of shadow boxing between the industry and the government.
