1981-82 Budget and Sixth Plan

Uneasy Coexistence The annual budgets of the government are a major instrument for implementing the policies and achieving the goals enunciated in the five-year plans. The Budget for 1981-82 Should particularly be judged in the context of the Sixth Plan since the Plan had been given its final shape on the eve of the presentation of the Budget. This article seeks to assess the Budget against the policies, programmes and goals of the Sixth Plan.
