Food for Work-Juggling Mandays

IMPRESSIVE results have been claimed for the government's food for work programme. According to the revised Draft Plan, 1978-83, 313 million mandays of employment were created under the programme in 1978-79, which was the first year of its full implementation. This is the equivalent of providing full year-round employment to over 7.5 lakh persons.
