Economics- One Sort of Absolute Poverty

Bangladesh visited India in connection with the UNIDO conference and had two rounds of discussions with Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the Indian foreign minister. Among the subjects discussed were the Farakka Barrage pact, Indo-Bangladesh border issues and the proposal to link Ganga. and Brahmaputra rivers. It is pertinent to review these issues in the light of the change of government in India as well as the past experience.
