Onslaught on Banjara Tribe in Warangal

FOR the last one month, it has become virtually a regular practice for the police from Nekkonda and Geechukonda police stations in Warangal district in Andhra Pradesh to raid Chantrugonda, Hanjarapalli and Yenugallu villages and nearby 'thandas' or hamlets like Vagyanayak, Getupalli, Bhikya and Balya, the population of which consists mainly of Lambadas, a banjara tribe.
