CAPITAL VIEW Crisis of Rulership Romesh Thapar THE air accident at Jorhat, in which the Prime Minister was involved, has provided a healthy and necessary psychological shock to that rather numerous tribe of dull-witted politicians solely dependent on a very tentative balance of power among the key figures of a ruling party. The shock is the greater among the Janata formations because, in a flash, the fragile nature of the political situation has been highlighted. The maudlin programming of All India Radio on the occasion is a telling commentary on our sickness and the crisis of the system.
