A Year after Eviction AN unusually large number of police- men were present in the Janata Colony at Cheeta Camp, a little before midnight of May 16-17, 1977. The camp was alive even at that late hour, and a film show was in progress. Exactly at midnight, there was bursting of crackers and 'thali beating' from inside the houses; the film show was stopped for five minutes, the audience" stood up, and shouted slogans before the showing was resumed.
