RAJASTHAN Rich Peasantry to the Fore IF the Janata party comes to power in Rajasthan, which is almost a certainty, it will be a government dominated by rich peasants. A powerful combination of the rich peasantry, represented by the Jat community, and former princes and jagirdars has wrested for itself more than 80 of the 200 party nominations in the Assembly poll. The former princes have, however, had to accept a back-seat in relation to the rich peasant group.
