The Naga people, especially Phizo, who were able to establish a rapport with Gandhi, could never trust Nehru, despite (or is it because?) all the publicity stunts with Nehru and Indira Gandhi dancing with comely Naga maidens at the Republic Day parades every year. Surely there is a lesson in this somewhere?
