The report has been prepared by the Cultural Research Institute of the Department of Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare, Government of West Bengal on the basis of field investigations in selected tribal areas of five districts of West Bengal. Altogether 1,602 tribal families belonging to eleven tribal communities
