Widening Range and Profit Hansavivek METAL BOX COMPANY OF INDIA has taken further steps to widen its range in the manufacture of machinery and components. It has built, for the first time in India, several machines of new designs relating to packaging and packing of products. The company has also received government's approval for technical collaboration with a reputed firm in Europe, for manufacture of offset printing machines. According to the chairman Bhaskar Mitter, this extension of the machinery-building activity promises to be highly profitable. The interest, which the company has acquired in a glass-bottle manufacturing concern in Bangalore and a joint- sector company for the manufacture of letter press machines in Kanpur, will provide further growth opportunities
