NORTH- Himalayan Bounty

NORTH Himalayan Bounty THANKS to the timely melting of the Himalayan snows and the ample rainfall in the catchment areas, for the first time in many years both Punjab and Haryana have become surplus in power. This welcome development will make a notable impact on the economy of this region since it will result in greater agricultural and industrial production. In fact, so accustomed were the people to almost daily power cuts, load-shedding and erratic supply of electricity that electrical gadgets were being put in cold storage and all hopes of getting power to fully meet the demand had faded. Hopefully, the drastic power cuts in this region will now become a story of yesterday. All restrictions on consumers, including those in the agricultural and industrial sectors, have already been withdrawn.
