The main objective of this study is to carry out a benefit/cost analysis of the Intensive Agricultural District Programme (IADP) in Ludhiana district of Punjab state. Its more specific aims are (a) to estimate a benefit/cost ratio for the programme expenditure and (b) to see the effect of the process of adoption on the benefit/cost ratio over the programme period.
