OVERALL world production grew by 5.5 per cent in 1972 compared with a 4.1 per cent increase in the previous year, according to the "World Econo-mic Survey 1972", published by the United Nations. The expansion was led by a boost of 6.6 per cent in world in-dustrial output, while global agricultu-ral production actually declined by 0.8 per cent.
