ECONOMIC AND POLTICAL WEEKLY for this was reiterated recently by the Fuel Policy Committee. In its interim report, styled as Part I of the report and brought out after a few years of deliberation, the Committee has underscored the fact that even by 1978-79, 70 per cent of the country's crude requirements will have to be imported.
