Unit Trust- Props Fail

THE Unit Trust of India has reported yet another year of reduced sales of units. During the year 1971-72 (JulyJune), sale of units under the substantive Unit Scheme, 1964, amounted to Rs 15 crores against Rs 18 crores in the previous year which, again, was well below the peak sale of nearly Rs 23 crores achieved in 1969-70. The other four schemes introduced by the Trust are yet to make any significant headway.
