Adapted to Private Ends THE term 'joint sector' has become wry popular recently. As with many popular words, its popularity is due to its vagueness and its suitability for being defined differently on different occasions. It has been used (and abused) by the spokesmen of the Government as well as by the leaders of industries. But what stands out is that everybody seems to welcome it and many consider it a solution to most of the current ills of industry.
