Commitments to ceilings is a commitment to all that is pure and enlightened in progressivism. The whole concept began to crystallise with the persistent demand from the affluent for a ceiling on babies. Playing our traditional tit-for-tat games, we have now unleashed a nation-wide scramble for ceilings of all description. By the time we finish the exercise, we'll all be content to do nothing for fear of infringing one ceiling or another.
