The others who qua- lily for her attention on these grounds are V P Naik, Maharashtra's Chief Minister and Brahmananda Reddy, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. At the Patna AICC session/ both Naik and Reddy were noticeably reticent about Indira Gandhi's exhortations about speedy implementation of land reforms. In this sense they do not quite fit the dynamic 'socialist image which she used to considerable effect in her victorious election campaign last March. With the State elections due in early 1972, this image must now be refurbished.
