Urban Guerillas in Calcutta LAST March 30, around 11 am on a crowded major road of Calcutta, a band of five or six young men approached the modest office room of Nepal Roy, the newly elected legislator from Jorabagan, a congested locality in the city. One of the young men stepped into the room, shot Roy dead, burst a few bombs to frighten his friends and raced away with his group into a maze of lanes. No one dared intercept them. The police came and got information about the suspects, who were from the locality. But much time elapsed before some of them were arrested.
