The total cost (to he minimised) is given by the sum of the dependent costs of production at the collieries, the cost of transport to the market, and the loss in proceeds through selling coal of one market category in a different market. An attempt was also made to combine Electricity Board programmes for minimising the delivered cost of electricity, but this work appears to be incom plete.
