GOVERNMENTS of 90 developing countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia and Europe, jointly with the United Nations, are carrying out 242 large-scale pre-investment projects designed to speed up use of natural resources, aid in planning overall growth, improve urban and rural conditions, expand basic services, and train specialised man-power. The activities are among a total of 1,36.3 pre-investment projects for which financial aid is being suppli-ed by the United Nations Develop-ment Programme (UNDP).
