The Election Romesh Thapar THE slow and deliberate unfolding of the decision to dissolve the Lok Sabha, to disentangle the parliamentary elc- tions from the contests for the State legislatures and to highlight the politic cal-cum-economic crisis being a much divided and confused country was handled with the kind of skin which one does not normally associate with our style of functioning. Indeed, the antics of those opposition leaders who are not in favour of early elections to the Lok Sabha were made to look rather ridiculous.
