January 3, 1970 " Craze for Foreign" A Comment K Mathew Kurian '' FOR many friends who have been following Ashok Rudra's writings during the last several years, his short piece "Craze for Foreign" (Economic and Political Weekly, November 8, 1969), provides an illustration of the poverty of his political thinking and is a veritable example of personal and subjective prejudices getting the upper hand in the thinking of those who sit in their armchairs, exhorting others to follow ultra- revolutionary politics.
