One-Half for the Road THE growth of Tata Engineering and Locomotive marks one of the few success stories of a complex engineering enterprise. Its success is proved by two indicators: the last starters in the automobile industry. 150,000 Telco vehicles are today half of the total population of trucks and passenger buses in the country. And of the total production of about 35,000 vehicles in 1968-69. more than 23,000 or about two-thirds were produced by Telco.
