March 2, 1968 accepted that country's citizenship and others had chosen to retain their option to move to Britain. Official Indian advice notwithstanding, they refrained from coming to terms with the vastly changed political realities in East Africa which demanded a redefinition of their objectives, attitudes and code of conduct in that region. The measures now taken by Kenya against the Asian immigrants should have been anticipated by them.
