THE previous week's lows have not been seen again; only castor futures have sought a slightly lower bottom. The break in prices had been a little sharp for a market which had been obsessed by ideas of a substantial deficit in edible oil supply because of the smaller groundnut crop. If bulls had been badly mauled in the fall, bears too saw their profits disappear before they could cash them.
