WEST BENGAL Journey through Hell ON the surface Calcutta is not very different from its usual self. This week nearly seven lakh textile and engineering workers staged a one-day token general strike, leaders of Reserve Bank employees organised a dharna-cum- hunger strike in front of the Bank's office, advocates of the Calcutta High Court, after a day's complete strike, began boycotting and picketing the court of the Chief Justice and city fathers had a free-for-all during a session of the Corporation, None of the exuberance associated with the city is missing.
