More Funds for Export Promotion THE Budget for 1968-69 provides for a revenue expenditure of Rs 45 crores on export promotion against Rs 36 crores (revised) in 1967-68. Since the provision takes into account a reduction of Rs 7 crores for sugar subsidy due to lower exports, it represents a net increase of Rs 16 crores for other commodities. This figure does not represent the entire cost of export subsidies but only that part which comes out of budgetary funds.
