results for the year to August 1966 with sales moving up by 12 per cent to Rs 25 crores and the pre-tax profit by 17 per cent to Rs 87 lakhs. Equity dividend has been stepped up to 13 per cent from 12 per cent paid for 1964-65. The current year's prospects are fairly good. The Chairman of the Company, B R Tannan, told shareholders at the company's annual general meeting in Calcutta last week that, barring a deepening of the recession in the general economy, he did not expect that the Company's earnings this year would slip back.
