Who Brought Soap Prices Down?
THE TWO leading soap manufacturers announced reductions in soap prices last week through advertisements in the press. The Tata advertisement said nothing about the reasons for the price cut, but Hindustan Lever explicitly mentioned "the Government's liberalised import policy and lower costs of locally available oils".
