FROM THE CHAIR Sen-Raleigh Limited Statement of the Chairman, Shri Abhijit Sen THE FOLLOWING is the statement of the Chairman, Shri Abhijit Sen, presented at the Seventeenth Annual General Meeting of Sen-Raleigh Limited held at the Registered Office, Mercantile Buildings, Calcutta, on Tuesday, March 21, 1967: Despite a fall in production of bicycles as compared to the previous year the Company's net earnings on operations for the period under review Were a shade better. A distinct improvement in earnings from the component division was largely responsible for the better showings. Lower priced raw materials carried over from the previous year and consumed in this period were also a contributory factor towards achieving the better results.
