Gobar Gas Plants How Appropriate are They

DURING the past decade, Indian government agencies such as the Khadi and Village Industries Board and private voluntary groups have promoted gobar gas plants as an important component of their rural development strategy. Indian planners consider this to be a technology which, if disseminated widely enough, has the potential to deliver major benefits and improve rural living conditions.
