there is no need for them to raise issues like Greater Mizoram, or a separate regional council for that matter.
However, it would be wrong to think that the Greater Mizoram idea is being opposed or should be opposed because the Mizos of TOpura are economically quite well-off under the Left Front government or even because their cultural identity is being main tained in the state. The government of Tripura, the ADC and the GMP have opposed the idea of Greater Mizoram on political grounds. And like them, the Mizos from Jampui Hills have unanimously decided in a convention which was addressed, among others, by the Member of the ADC from the area and three Gaon Pradhans who are all Mizos
