IIMB invites application for Field Monitoring Personnel |
The Centre for Public Policy, Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) is working with a large multi-institution, multi-country research consortium that aims to enable sex-disaggregated household asset data collection as part of standard national and international household surveys. Working with collaborators from American University, University of Florida, University of Ghana, and Yale University, IIMB is leading the multi-year effort to collect and analyse individual level asset data from three different countries and settings: Ecuador, Ghana, and India. The results of this project will provide the theoretical and empirical basis for measuring the “Gender Asset Gap” through standard household surveys. The Indian portion of the study is being conducted in Karnataka. |

We are looking for persons who will work closely with the research team during the quantitative data collection work in the field. The key responsibilities would include: |

| Qualifications/Experience Needed |
The candidates should preferably have a Masters degree in Economics, Sociology, Statistics, Social Work, or Anthropology, with at least six months experience undertaking quantitative data collection. The candidates should be open to spending a large part of their time in the field with the data collection teams. Sound knowledge of Kannada and fluency in speaking /reading the language is a must. Moderate fluency in English is desirable. The position is for a period of six months beginning in January. The monthly remuneration is Rs. 12,000/-. All field expenses including travel will be covered. |
